The Putrid Pal is an all ages comic about an undead French boy and his friends on Woe Beach.  It features silly capers, spooky monsters, scared kids and the usual nonsense from a haunted beach you’d expect.  Created by tweedlebop, aka Michael Fleming.

 

CAST

The Putrid Pal

A mysterious young boy who lives under the tidal waters of Woe Beach.  We assume he is French due to the way he speaks and his beret, but no one knows his full story (yet).  His best friend is Sunny Graves, and he enjoys spending time on the beach and getting into mischief.  All he truly wants is to be friends with some of the school children at Woe Beach, but they’ll have nothing to do with him.  Sigh…

 

Sunny Graves

A gregarious young girl who lives alone in an abandoned lighthouse on the cliffs of Woe Beach.  Unlike the rest of the kids in the village, she enjoys the company of the monsters who populate the haunted beach.  She is the connector for everyone between the creepy beach and the human shops.  Her best friend is the Putrid Pal (whom she calls Pierre, Philippe, Patrice and any other stereotypical French boy “P” name).

 

Algebra

A giant, lumbering, armless monster who usually is hanging out in the deep ocean.  Like the Putrid Pal, no one knows what Algebra’s origins are, but there are those in Woe Beach that say he’s connected to a famous UFO crashing from 1954 that happened nearby.  Simple, but immensely powerful, he’s a good monster to have on your team when the going gets rough.
